Robert J. Scharber, Au.D., FAAA

Robert J. Scharber, Au.D., FAAA

Board-Certified Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Scharber received his Doctorate of Audiology in 2001 from the University of Florida. He also earned his bachelor’s degree at College of New Jersey in Trenton and his master’s degree in Audiology from Arizona State University in Tempe. He has been practicing audiology in Arizona for more than thirty years. As a Board Certified Doctor of Audiology, he works closely with ear, nose and throat doctors, internists, and family physicians as a consultant providing evaluations and hearing services to their patients. He often serves as a consultant to healthcare organizations and insurance plans as well. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists, and is licensed by the Arizona State Department of Health Services. Dr. Scharber grew up near Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Dr. Scharber is available as a speaker on a number of topics. He offers a multimedia presentation on Hearing Loss, New Hearing Aid Technologies, Balance, Dizziness & Fall Prevention, Assistive Listening Devices and Listening Strategies. Please contact our office for availability and information.

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Chelsea Johnson, Au.D., CCC-A graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Pacific University in Oregon, where she acquired clinical experience in a broad range of environments, including private practices, ENT offices, and a public school system. Dr. Johnson recently graduated with her doctoral degree in August 2018. Dr. Johnson may look familiar as she spent the last year completing her fourth-year externship here at East Valley Hearing Center.

Originally from Gresham, OR, Dr. Johnson enjoys camping, hiking, and boating. She also loves to spend time with her two dogs, traveling and working out. The next time you are in our office, please help us in welcoming Dr. Johnson to our staff.

Daniel Greenblatt Au.D., FAAA

Daniel Greenblatt Au.D., FAAA

Doctor of Audiology

Daniel Greenblatt Au.D., FAAA graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences from San Diego in 2014. Daniel completed his Doctorate in Audiology from Idaho State University in 2018. He has been practicing Audiology with HearingLife for two years and is American Academy of Audiology certified. He also brings with him many years of personal experience with his own hearing loss that he has had since he was a child. Daniel is passionate about diagnostics, hearing aid technology, aural rehabilitation, tinnitus care, and noise induced hearing loss.

Daniel is dedicated to personalized care and puts an emphasis on building relationships with each individual to improve quality of life for his patients. He believes that comprehensive evaluations of individual lifestyles, as well as audiometric testing leads to appropriate solutions based in each individual’s needs.

Jennifer is our new Patient Care Coordinator. She and her husband, Dion, recently moved back to Phoenix after living in Boise, ID for the last 6 years. They wanted to be closer to the children, grandchildren, and the rest of their extended family.

She enjoys a multitude of hobbies, such as crafting, sewing, knitting, and gardening. When she is not involved with one of those, she has 2 four-legged children, Buster and Sophie, their miniature Dachshunds.

Her most recent position was with the Girl Scouts. She is happy to be starting a new chapter in life and looks forward to meeting all of you!

Betty lives in San Tan Valley with her husband and 3 amazing children, Tylor, Aiden and Madison. They also have 2 fur babies, Chloe and Max. She is a medical assistant with many years of experience with pediatrics and gastroenterology. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, playing games and taking small trips. She is excited about her new position and the opportunity to learn more about hearing healthcare. She looks forward to helping our patients hear better.

Serving over 8 years in the medical field in such positions as Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assistant to an Ophthalmologist, and Front Office at a Cancer Center, Jami’s insatiable love of life and people is evident! She was born and raised in the suburb of Westminster, Colorado, before moving to Arizona in 2001. She and her husband have 3 amazing kids ages 10, 9, and 3, and they’re all die hard Broncos fans! She is a very outgoing person and loves having fun! She has great friends and loves hosting events. Her favorite season is Football, of course! Not a Broncos fan?? She also enjoys friendly rivalries!

Tiffany Lyons is our new Practice Manager with more than 17yrs of experience in a medical setting with leadership accountability. She has a valued talent in both front office and back-office functions. These skills are essential to directing a smooth and efficient workflow. Tiffany is an articulate communicator with perceptive interpersonal skills, forging cooperative relationships with staff, patients and Physicians.

Tiffany is originally from Iowa where she met and married her husband of 30+ years. They have 3 grown children and 2 grandsons. Today they enjoy the simple life of being empty nesters and spending time with their 3 dogs and extended family.
