Thankfully, I'd call yesterday a 'good-news-day' after a thorough, pleasant, comfortable evaluation experience. And, once again, the webpage made the application process so easy for me to get started. Beyond competence and knowledge, I'm a CONSUMER of services. The cutting edge for my healthcare needs go hand-in-glove with the RELATIONSHIP I can discover or create with a professional and their staff, i.e. time and attention, listening and asking, beyond trust in professional knowledge. It's painful when a RELATIONSHIP hasn't been available for me. Often my 1st impression is made with the 'greeting' at the sign-in, a somewhat 'public' place, where I might be my most vulnerable. That could put me on my guard for the 'private' environment. Knowledge and competence alone can't replace a sincere relationship. I had ALL of that, 'in spades' yesterday, competence AND relationship.
